The space
The property contains two houses Raccoon House and Monkey House.
Raccoon House:
First floor contains living room with propane fireplace and pullout sofa. Full kitchen and a bar counter. Full bathroom with vanity and large sauna.
Second floor has 2 bedrooms with top tier Kingsdown firm pillowtop mattresses and common area (listed as second living room) with 4 stackable single beds. All sleeping (and most of the decorative) pillows filled with duck or goose feathers. Please let us know if allergic so we can provide an alternative filled with finest Chinese polyester.
Although the Raccoon House sleeps 6 comfortably, it can sleep up to 10, given the downstairs pullout sofa sleeps 2 and stackables on the loft sleep up to 4.
Monkey House
First floor has a living room with fireplace as well as dining room and bedroom with 2 bunk beds for 4 guests.
Upstairs has 2 bedrooms with queen and king size beds and pullout sofa in the loft that sleeps 2 more.
Hot tub is being sanitized and refilled with fresh water for every party in warm (above freezing) months, or once every few weeks in winter months.
Plenty of activities in the area. We are located between 2 marinas. Enjoy boating, kayaking, hiking, fishing (ask us if we can arrange fishing rods and such, and yes we can), archery and other outdoor activities. Then relax by the fire pit or in the sauna or in the hot tub. Or just stretch your legs in front of the fireplace with just the right amount of bourbon on the bottom of your glass.
Perfect location for tasteful bachelor party of respected grown ups. Stay classy, my friends.
Other things to note
April 4th 2026 is a trout opening day is Pennsylvania. Enjoy the Friday night in our sauna and hot tub and start fishing next morning, with countless desirable fishing spots with stocked and native trout available within 15 minute radius.
Houses can be fully heated by propane fireplace. In addition, the Raccoon House can be heated or cooled by C&H split system, which is usually turned off. Please note, during winter months upstairs tends to be much warmer than downstairs. Feel free to turn on the mini split unit in dining area (or anywhere else if needed) to make your stay comfortable. Monkey House has baseboard heaters thru the whole house.
Major sauna rule:
Please don't pour water onto sauna unit. Throw the water against brick wall behind the heater, using ladle provided. Pouring water onto sauna heater itself will inevitably lead to premature wear of heating coils and is a fire hazard.
Please make sure you are in proper health condition to use saunas and hot tub. Please refrain from using spa and sauna if you have contagious skin conditions or open wounds. Please shower prior to entering the hot tub.
We do provide linens and towels for the whole group.
Feel free to use washer and dryer for towels and bathrobes if you are staying multiple nights, so you have them clean for the next day.
Please respect the property. No hair dying nor any other activity that will certainly leave nasty stains.
Please don't leave food nor food waste outside. There is plenty of wildlife in the area, from chipmunks to bears. And it's not the chipmunks that we really don't want to attract.
Please be at least 25 years of age to book.
Please list correct total number of guests for the sake of accountability (again, don't need names, just the total number). We take fire safety and fire marshal orders seriously. Price is the same whether it's 4 or 16 guests listed.
Please inquire if you have smaller group (thinking 2-4 people total) and want to rent Raccoon House only for a discounted price.
Active and retired firefighters get 20% discount of core charge.
Strict cancellation policy is in place to mitigate last minute cancellation for major holidays. Other than major holidays I am flexible and will usually approve full refund as suggested in Flexible policies.
